You didn't actually think our favorite late-night hosts wouldn't weigh in on Melania Trump's infamous jacket heard 'round the world, now did you? On Thursday evening, mere hours after the first lady shocked the entire nation by wearing a parka that read "I Really Don't Care, Do U?" while visiting migrant children facilities in Texas, Stephen Colbert chimed in with his two cents.
He began by sharing his initial disbelief at her tone-deaf outfit choice and pointing out the utter irony of it all. "Before I show you this photo, please know it's real. We checked it so many times because we thought this has to be fake. But today, on her way to show that she cares, Melania wore a jacket that says 'I Really Don't Care, Do U?'" he said with a bewildered look on his face.
Colbert continued, "That's what they settled on? What was her first choice, a jacket that said 'womp womp'?" the late-night host asked, referring to former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski's mocking of a child with Down syndrome who was separated from her mother. The late-night host made sure to add in his own piece of style advice, saying, "She's forgotten the most important fashion advice: before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take off that jacket."
