Burning fat and building muscle isn't as easy as it sounds. You've got to make sure your workouts are programmed correctly, you've got to make sure you're getting in the adequate amounts of nutrients to fuel your body and help your muscles repair, and you've got to be patient, because changes won't happen overnight.
Massy Arias, an ISSA-certified trainer, created this 30-minute ab and leg workout to help you build muscle and lower your body fat percentage, and it's the real deal. The workout is broken up into three circuits consisting of three exercises each, performed back-to-back for three rounds per circuit, which means your heart rate will be elevated in no time. You'll ideally be burning more fat due to the intensity of the movements and the minimal rest.
You'll start with a dynamic warmup, then do moves like goblet squats, plank variations, and lunge variations. The best part, you can do this workout with or without equipment and there are low-impact and high-impact options for each exercise! Arias recommends doing this workout twice a week and also emphasized making sure you're consuming protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs to help you reach your muscle-building goals.
