If you've been on the internet in the past week, you've likely had your faith in humanity restored by a heartwarming video of two toddlers hugging on the sidewalk. In the now-viral footage, which has been viewed more than one million times on Facebook and likely reposted just as many times, 2-year-old besties Maxwell Hanson and Finnegan McKenna joyously run toward each other and embrace before giggling and sprinting off down the New York City sidewalk together. The too-pure-for-this-world clip went so viral that it caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres, who couldn't resist bringing the BFFs into her studio for a chat.
Maxwell and Finnegan stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday with their parents, who explained how their adorable bond blossomed after the two families met at a local restaurant a year ago. The sweet toddlers, who apparently have their own "secret language," currently go to different schools, but they take the same bus together in the morning. Aww! Watch Maxwell and Finnegan's talk-show appearance above to see the generous gift Ellen gave them, and then rewatch their cute mid-sidewalk hug ahead if you're looking for something to brighten your week.
I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do......please share. This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!!
