When My Friend Tells Me that Having A Dog is the Same as Having Kids... *sigh, here we go with the disclaimer-because nowadays you have to tip-toe not to offend people... 1) Never said your dogs weren't your babies people, I get it. I've always gotten it (ahem, my sister). this is directed to those who LEGITIMATELY believe that caring for a dog is the same as caring for babies. If you are NOT one of those people, then it doesn't apply to you, so why you mad? 2)To those of you unable to have children... This was not towards you. This was to people who believe that caring for a dog is the same as caring for children. 3) Relaxxx...it's Facebook, it's not that serious. If you don't find it funny, that's cool. I can't please everyone, I've tried. 4) I'm on my period and have way worse things to stress about than whether or not I somehow offended you. My insides are beings ravaged by wolves. 5) life is too short to be so angry ❤Posted by Juggling The Jenkins - Tiffany Jenkins on Monday, January 29, 2018
Tiffany Johnson, a mom and blogger from Sarasota, FL, has a message she feels needs to be heard loud and clear: having a dog is nowhere near the same as having a human child. She summed up her thoughts in a hilarious video that totally nails the important difference between fur babies and, well, real babies.
As a proud lifelong dog owner, I couldn't agree more; dogs are without a doubt man's best friend, but taking care of a tiny human being requires way more time, effort, and energy than having a pet. And that's coming from a person who coughed up $3,000 for vet bills after their dog decided to swallow a Christmas ornament for sport.
Thankfully, Tiffany uses a few real-life examples to make her point, and honestly it's hard to argue with her. The most telling part? When Tiffany noticed her daughter made a mess on the floor and jokingly said, "Did you do this? You're going back in your cage!" Seriously, you can see the difference, right?
So while this video is simply meant to be funny and not start a knockdown, drag-out keyboard war, Tiffany certainly got her point across. Raising a kid isn't better than having pets, it's just a vastly different experience.
