It's customary celebrities to pay a visit to their stylists for a fresh hairstyle prior to attending awards shows, but chopping off a few inches right before stepping onto the red carpet is a whole different story. That's what happened when Susan Kelechi Watson, who hosted the pre-show and appeared on stage to present an award on Feb. 28, got a pre-Golden Globes bob haircut courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Vernon François.
"Susan has been wanting to change her hairstyle, and now is the perfect time to explore that," said Francois. "Today, we're cleansing and conditioning her hair with Redken's New Acidic Bonding Concentrate range, then cutting her hair into a sleek bob and blow-drying it, which is different for her. I love the look. As a hairdresser, I have my own technique, usually cutting hair freehand while it's dry."
To finish off her look, Francois gave Watson a deep side part and pulled her new blunt bob into a low ponytail. He wrapped the ponytail with a gold ribbon to tie in with her sparkly dress.
